Creofy

Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Creofy ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit creofy.io. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site operators. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels — we refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

2. Cookie Categories We Use

We group cookies into three categories based on their purpose. Your consent choices (where required) apply at this category level.

Strictly Necessary

These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent. They include cookies that:

  • Keep you signed in during your session (authentication)
  • Store your cookie consent decision so we don't ask again
  • Detect your region to show the correct consent banner
  • Enable secure payment flows

Analytics

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with Creofy — which pages are popular, where users encounter problems, and how the platform is being used. This data is used to improve the service. We do not use analytics cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.

UK and EU visitors: We only set analytics cookies after you give your consent via the cookie banner.

Marketing

Marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and to provide more relevant content. We currently do not use marketing cookies on creofy.io. This category is included in our consent framework for future use — we will update this policy before activating any marketing cookies.

3. Cookies We Set

CookieCategoryPurposeDuration
creofy-consentNecessaryStores your cookie consent decision (accept/reject per category)12 months
creofy-regionNecessaryDetects your region (EU/UK, California, or rest of world) to show the correct consent banner12 months

4. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies on your device when you use Creofy. Each provider has its own privacy and cookie policy, which we link to below.

ProviderCategoryPurposeTypical Cookies
ClerkNecessaryAuthentication — keeps you signed in and manages your session securely__session, __client_uat, __clerk_db_jwt
StripeNecessaryPayment fraud prevention and processing — only active on billing and checkout pages__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid
PostHogAnalyticsProduct analytics — records which features are used and how users navigate the platform. Data is not shared with advertisers.ph_* (session and persistent)

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Cookie banner

When you first visit creofy.io, a cookie banner appears asking for your consent (if you are in the UK, EU, or EEA) or providing notice (for other regions). You can:

  • Accept all — enables necessary and analytics cookies.
  • Reject all — only strictly necessary cookies are set.
  • Manage preferences — choose which categories to allow.

Your choice is saved for 12 months. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your cookies (which resets the banner on your next visit) or by contacting us at support@creofy.io.

Browser settings

You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as authentication cookies) may prevent you from signing in or using the platform. For guidance:

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Creofy does not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no agreed industry standard for how to honour them. Your explicit consent choice (via the cookie banner) takes precedence.

6. California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Certain analytics cookies may involve sharing technical identifiers with third parties in a way that could constitute "sharing" under CCPA.

If you are in California, you can opt out by clicking "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the cookie banner when you visit creofy.io, or by emailing us at support@creofy.io with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out".

7. UK & EU Residents

We comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive, which require us to obtain your prior consent before setting any non-essential cookies on your device.

We detect your location using your IP address to determine whether to show the full opt-in consent banner (UK, EU, EEA) or the simplified notice for other regions. This detection uses a server-side lookup and does not set any cookies itself.

If you believe we have set non-essential cookies without your consent, please contact us at support@creofy.io or raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, change providers, or when legal requirements change. Material changes will be notified via the cookie banner (which will re-appear to collect fresh consent where required) and by updating the "Last updated" date above.

9. Contact
